Here are the steps to follow to add it to quick launch area.
- Open notepad.
- Copy the below code.
Command=2
IconFile=explorer.exe,3
[Taskbar]
Command=ToggleDesktop
- save the file with the name ShowDesktop.scf some where on your system or on your desktop.
- drag and drop the file to the Quick launch area.

Legend! Exactly what I needed
ReplyDeleteThe above trick does not work every time. Rather try entering regsvr32 /n /i:U shell32 in the run menu and press enter. Reboot the system and the show desktop icon will be available in the quick launch.
